company history
In 1994, after many years of working in the engineering field, Eddie Perman decided to start his own company. Perman began as a small home office with Eddie practicing civil engineering and land surveying. Soon, we grew out of the home office and in 1999 Eddie started construction on a new office in the Rainbow City Deerfoot Industrial Park. We moved into the finished office in 2000 where we brought on additional staff. In 2008, Perman started our real estate development division giving way to the acquisition of several parcels to develop. Trey Perman came on board in 2009 after graduating from college and became Perman’s first controller. As we continued to grow, we added the General Construction division two years later and began to travel across the United States developing, engineering, and building retail, office and industrial. We added a new Civil Engineer in 2013 when Tanner Perman came on board. Since that time, our executive team and developments have continued to grow while still providing personalized service for each client. Eddie Perman JR., PE, PLS
Principal Civil Engineer / President
Licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, and West Virginia; surveyor in Alabama and Georgia; general contractor in Alabama. Eddie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has been a practicing engineer and surveyor for more than 25 years and has a vast resume including over 40 projects designing industrial and commercial facilities. Eddie’s understanding of the requirements for successful site selection as well as his foresight and understanding of the pitfalls that can cause construction delays are crucial to the success of our projects.
(Trey) Edward O Perman III
Controller / Real Estate Developer
Bachelor of Science with a double major in accounting and finance from Jacksonville State University. Trey holds an Alabama Real Estate Broker's License and his pilot’s license. His educational background plus his real estate and information technology experience has brought a new level of financial and technological skills to our company. Trey has been the lead developer on all of the real estate projects for our company.
Tanner Perman
Civil Engineer
Tanner Perman came on board as Civil Engineer at Perman in 2013 after graduating from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He has over 10 years’ experience in the surveying and engineering field. Tanner has brought to the company a new level of technology working with LEICA surveying equipment and drones to assist while out in field. He has traveled across the country working on 20+ projects for the development team along with numerous civil engineering and surveying projects.
Tabathia Pritchett
Construction Project Manager
Tabathia joined our team in March of 2017 as construction project manager. She graduated from Gadsden State Community College with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology. Tabathia brings skills in managing and communication with over five years experience in customer service and management.
